Asheville Joins 2020 Earthdance “Give Back” Events

Building on 2019’s theme of Collective Intelligence, this year we are paying it forward with our new theme: 2020 Vision—Co-Manifestival.  We are glad to announce that Earthdancers from Asheville, North Carolina in the US have received approval to join us for the worldwide event series.

This year’s theme creates the opportunity for the Collective Intelligence to manifest, and create peace through community activism, dance, events, festivals, business and more. It’s the 24th year Earthdance International has organized global dance events throughout the world, bringing people together in a single moment of focused intention.

The highlight each year is the synchronized “Prayer for Peace,” which unites participants in all locations—and online—in a shared moment of meditation and intention. Thousands of people participate worldwide, gathering at large festivals and private house parties to share in the collective movement.

Since 1997, Earthdance has been held in more than 1000 locations and 80 countries and has supported hundreds of charities worldwide. With its global reach and diverse range of attendees, Earthdance is the first and largest coordinated multi-location music and peace event in the world.

In addition to the nonprofit Earthdance International’s “give back” weekend in September, this year our for-profit side, Earthdance Global, is creating co-branding events, projects and businesses year-round.

As partner examples, Costa Rica is hosting the third of its six year-round events and others are following, including a four-day event in Washington State, “The Earthdance Re-evolution,” June 18-21.
