EARTHDANCE 2021 CALL FOR CREATORS

September 18 Global Dance Party for Peace Virtual Event

San Francisco, CA – Registration has now opened for new and continuing Earthdance producers, artists and community creators to become part of celebrating Earthdance’s 25th year! Our theme is “Peace – It’s Time” as we begin to emerge from this unprecedented period. As of today, we are not yet able to register in-person events, given remaining uncertainties across many nations. Later in spring or summer, we may allow producers to plan permitted Earthdance public physical events or safely held private events.

Last year with the intention of keeping our global community safe, Earthdance festivals worldwide went virtual on Earthdance.TV. This year we are inviting our creator community to present livestreamed and continual programming. These offerings will culminate with a central webcast and other programming on September 18. As in previous years, the highlight of each Earthdance event is the Prayer for Peace held at this single moment everywhere and joined by thousands of people online.

“Peace – It’s time”

Music connected us globally long before social media, and remains a powerful force for uniting communities. The vibration of peace comes through the music, as well as our connections, our exchange of vital information, sharing artistic expression, contributing to causes… peace love and understanding! It’s time!

Yet, despite such progress towards our common good, humankind has not yet fully achieved the success of creating a peaceful world. Repression and authoritarianism continue in opposition to truth and movements for democracy.  These forces generate confusion and create divisions, in many countries from the United States to Myanmar. There is much work to be done.

Since 1997, the Earthdance International nonprofit has organized the world’s largest annual synchronized global music and dance event for peace. Local producers from over 1000 locations in 80 countries have presented thousands of DJs and artists. These events have supported hundreds of charities worldwide, aligned with the global United Nations Peace Day observance, held on September 21st each year.

The affiliated business side, Earthdance Global continues to showcase music, products, services and alliances year-round which support artists, producers and community members.
