2016 is a landmark year for deep peace-making and true environmental stewardship: a Global Shift is underway.

Our international, cross-generational tribe of evolutionaries transcends national borders and divisions through the universal language of music, as we empower people and catalyze institutions. Together we are building a peaceful and sustainable world.

Since 1997, Earthdance has set the standard for conscious parties and festivals, bridging the worlds of peace-making and music culture, and pioneering both the concept of multi-location events and synchronized mediation-prayer practice. A few of us have had the honor of coordinating this international network, but it is the love, intention and collaboration of the hundreds of event producers and the communities that they have assembled year after year that make the collective magic happen. Today we are part of a worldwide network of transformational festivals and groups practicing subtle activism.

In the growing world of peace organizations, groups and projects that rally around the United Nations International Day of Peace each year on September 21, Earthdance is a respected member of this community, holding down the celebratory space: asserting that peace is about living fully and thriving more than it is about protesting war (as important as that side of the greater peace movement is). Earthdance events and those they have inspired are conscious festivals and parties, that combine community and entertainment with exchange of vital information, activism, support of charities and evolutionary initiatives, personal and social transformation, integral health, respect for all peoples, spirituality and environmental stewardship.
