
Cape Town Fostering Local Community & Change
Through Music and Dance
On September 17-19, GoodTimes Events, Nano Records, Red Bull Studio, sSHADOWORKSs, Arcade, Homegrown, and Nu World Sessions, collaborated with long-time Earthdance producer, Regan Tacon, to throw the 12th annual Earthdance event in Cape Town, South Africa. Earthdance Cape Town community has grown to become one of our largest regional chapters, and is taking on a life of its own. Over 6000 people came out to join in what is now the largest festival for peace, sustainability, and global consciousness in Cape Town.

The event featured a variety of top local artists and DJs, "Peace Camp" hosts a stage featuring the more folk, acoustic, organic sounds musically, plus kids area, lectures, workshops, NGO's, sacred space, healing etc. NGO's and speakers on peace, environmental research, education, eco-community building and model solutions from around the world, as well as various green initiatives including: reusable products, tree planting, carbon neutral web hosting, sustainable waste management, Biodiesel generators and LED lighting.
Local Charity Impact
The event raised money to support local NGO's and benefactors including the Earthchild Project (www.earthchildproject.org) and the Shine Centre (www.theshinecentre.org.za).
