"Earthdance Northern California was a great success once again. Over the years the 3 day festival has grown into a wonderful community gathering offering entertainment for all ages and music for all tastes. The highlight of the event was the global Om which elevated the Prayer for Peace link up to another level. It was a very powerful moment with over 5000 people Oming in the main field, surrounding a center stage where indigenous and modern elders from many nations were holding sacred space. It was a wonderful moment after 11 years of participating in the Prayer for Peace moment to now experience the community unite in synchronized voice. The weekend had many highlights, from stellar performances by international artists, to all night DJ dance marathons, to intimate moment with the elders as they shared sacred wisdom. Thankyou to everyone who helped create the magic. "-Chris Deckker

"We began with a circle gathering and drumming in Trinity Park. People poured water into a bowl with flowers with each person offering prayers for pure and abundant water for all parts of the world. We joined all others at 7:00 pm for the Peace Prayer. When the prayers were completed we had a procession down a spiral staircase to the river to pour in the blessed water. An Algonquin Water chant was sung to further purify and bless the water. After more singing, dancing, and drumming, the procession moved back up the spiral staircase as observers stopped to honor the spirt of the celebration. The circle was closed with prayers and promises to begin to create an even more wonderful celebration for 2008"

Earthdance Cape Town is a 2 day celebration with 2 stages, a peace camp, workshops, free healings, kids area, and more. Friday evening kicked off with the peace camp hosting a "barefoot boogie" plus a warm up party on the "bands and Beats" floor. Saturday opening ceremony began with gongs, drums, didgeridoos, and more on the trance floor. At 1pm both stages kicked into action and then progressively built towards link up at 1am which was once again a magnificent moment for South Africa.
Earthdance Cape Town is currently the biggest event of it's kind in Cape Town and is not only creating awareness buy also changing the face of music events/festivals in South Africa. Earthdance Cape Town branched out last year to incorporate a second stage focused on bands and other forms of music. The success of this new area has meant the inclusion of a wider cross section of people, truly creating the vision of hosting a unifying event for Cape Town itself, while unifying the like minds of South Africa with those all over the world participating in Earthdance Events.
"What a pleasure to be able to have so much fun, raise awareness, and support charity!"- Regan Nano, Earthdance Promoter.

Prayer for Peace Time: 6:00pm Saturday, September 15, 2007 Number of Attendees: 400 Charity: Friends of the Mississippi; www.fmr.org
Minneapolis, MN celebrated it's 4th year of participation with Earthdance in 2007, holding a magical event in the beautiful location of Minnehaha Falls Park. Our festival ran 12 noon - 10 pm and included 2 stages featuring belly dancers, DJ's, spoken word artists, fire spinners, reggae, hip-hop, bluegrass, world music bands, and a host of local folk singers. We also featured a donation based Healing Arts area, a Kiddie Village where kids could play, and a Food & Feast area where we successfully fed nearly 400 people with yummy organic soups and salads!
The highlight of course was the synchronized Prayer for Peace, which we began with a procession up, over, and around the falls, then back to the park where about 300 people gathered in the circle. Underwater speakers sounded the Om into the waters leading to the Mississippi, a mere 200 miles from its source. This was followed by a raging drum and dance jam for a little over an hour.
We managed to raise about $100 for our sponsored charity, Friends of the Mississippi and provided a lot of exposure to their worthwhile cause. Water blessing was going on all day! All in all, a successful event and we look forward to an even better one in 2008!"

"Earthdance Exmouth was a beautiful three day event in the elegant grounds of Powderham Castle in Devon, which combined all the ethos of a green field sustainable festival with a cutting edge dance event. We wanted to show that there is a future in a fun and friendly dance festival that combines environmental education and demonstration with some really great dance music of all genres. Hopefully we achieved that from the great feedback we received and the 2 festival awards we were nominated for. It featured both live bands and DJs, indoor dance tents, outdoor stages and an extensive green village as well as a site wide policy of maximum sustainability. See you again this year" - Earthdance Exmouth
